The EXTECH FL700  is specifically designed for the quick and accurate measurement of fluoride ions in drinking water and other aqueous samples, the ExStik FL700 incorporates the sensing electrode, measuring electronics, and the display in one convenient package, making this unit ideal for field or laboratory testing. Fluoride is known to help prevent tooth decay while too much fluoride is known to be bad for the teeth. The concentration recommended by the American Dental Association is 0.7-1.2 ppm. The MCL established by the EPA is 4.0 ppm. Fluoride is naturally occurring and in some areas in the US the natural level exceeds 4.0 ppm.

The Extech FL700 is capable of directreading of Total Fluoride from 9.99 ppm or mg/L down to 0.1 ppm, and the meter provides Automatic temperature compensation (±10 degrees C of calibration temperature).

Automatic calibration; stability sensing to optimize accuracy; internal datalogger for storing up to 25 readings; direct reading of ppm units; automatic power off after 12 minutes to preserve battery life; and internal error detection. Complies with EPA Method 340.2 (Potentiometric Ion Selective Electrode).
