The Extech CT70 is a GFCI and AC Circuit Analyzer which covers outlet load handling and outlet tester functions. Complete with AC test cord (standard North American 3-prong plug). The CT70 is an AC Load Tester for 230V circuits (5A, 8A and 10A), ideal for checking outlets prior to use. The CT70 is an essential piece of equipment for any electrician or technician working with electrical circuits. It helps to identify and prevent potential hazards by testing for proper grounding and voltage levels. The CT70 is also useful for performance testing of machinery and equipment. By identifying poor ground impedance, lack of sufficient voltage under load, or high ground-to-neutral voltage, the CT70 can help to ensure that equipment is operating at peak efficiency. The CT70 is a versatile and essential tool for anyone working with electrical circuits.

The Extech CT70 AC Circuit Analyzer can detect circuit and wiring problems such as: Poor ground impedance, false grounds, missing ground fault protection, low voltage availability under load, and high ground-to-neutral voltage. In addition, the CT70 tests GFCI and EPD circuits.

Circuit and wiring issues listed above can introduce shock hazards (from grounding issues) and can comprise performance of machinery and equipment (from poor ground impedance, lack of sufficient voltage under load and/or high ground-to-neutral voltage). In addition, fire can result from the heat generated by high resistance points in a circuit.

Extech CT70 AC Circuit Analyzer Features

    • True RMS measurements
    • Voltage drop measurements on 12A, 15A, and 20A loads for 120 V circuits
